Hello all
How do you get from 'scene ideas/story concept' to finnished script.
I seem to have no problem comming up with concepts/scene's BUT have never go so far as to write 12 pages let alone 120.
Or should I just shut up n write till ive got 180 pages THEN slap it around into a story ?
Maybe I should just go drink more beer.

The way i do it grizz, is write a story first. Start to finish. If I think it's the kind of story that would work well cinematically, Then i turn it into a script.
On another note, can you beleive they took down the board yesterday just to change the font on the "post reply" button? Who Cares?
PS hey grizz you a flash 5 master now?

Meh...synopsi (synopsises?) are for literary light weights (Nice alliteration Mr Skin.)
But seriously you really should try and flesh it out as much as you can...you might find it hard but it'll save a lot of frustration in the long run, re: loose ends and shot decisions.
On the other hand you should allow the room for your script to mutate as well. Don't be afraid to stray from the original script a bit when you're scripting...
Balance man-the key to everything.

That's why there's the phrase "1% inspiration, 99% perspiration" about writing.
I used to have this problem. I recently had what I thought to be a good idea, I was inspired. I have just kept plodding away. Making myself write.
Today for example, I had to fly to a meeting. I took a notepad and wrote on the plane, I then wrote in the departure lounge on the way back. You can write pretty much anywhere, it's just a question of sticking with it and being disciplined.
